study - broadcast refurbishment
BBC
World Service needed to move its existing disaster recovery centre from London
& CWP project managed the scheme which involved the creation of an 8 studio
complex. The scope included project managing all phases from design, through
procurement, English Heritage & Planning consents, the refurbishment works
to high acoustic standards & fitting out of all studios & offices. Also
some significant enabling elements, such as the installation of a new fibre
optic cable from High Wycombe to Reading and the underground installation of
a new 200 amp power line into the site. All works finished on time and on budget,
the centre is now operational.
"Thanks
for a supreme effort to keep the project on track and under a tight budget,
in what have been challenging conditions, well done."
